Ridge Point Update

Hi Ridge Point Family,

It is my greatest delight to tell you that we have hired an Executive Pastor. Scott Potter will be joining our staff mid-May to manage the administrative, personnel and general infrastructure of Ridge Point.

Scott and Sheri Potter have been part of the Ridge Point family for over 15 years. They have four children; Brittany (15), Brianna (15), Trenton (14) and Addison (10) and live in Zeeland (Drenthe to be more specific, home of the ice cream shop, Village Dipper)! At Ridge Point, Sheri currently enjoys hanging out with all the kids in Fusion and Scott has been part of the elder board since 2003.

Scott comes to us from Family Research Council, an organization that promotes life, family and religious liberty from a Christian worldview. Scott joined FRC in 1993 and was promoted to senior director in 2001. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing with minors in Communication and Business Management from Davenport College.

Scott’s comment to me recently, “When I interviewed and talked to staff, there was a sense of excitement and expectation of how God is going to use Ridge Point in this next season of ministry to further His Kingdom. I feel privileged to be part of the RP team.”

We will be commissioning Scott and Sheri on the weekend of May 18 & 19. Please join me in thanking Jesus for bringing Scott on board.  I’m excited to work alongside of him.
