Something Was Missing
I have never been near death, seen or been close to someone who has died, had any addictions, or any limiting handicaps. But, I still felt as if something was missing in my life. Growing up as a child, we never went to church. Occasionally, I would go with my Grandmother to a Catholic church, nearby.

Forty Years in the Desert
Born the second daughter of three, and second child of 5, (the boys were the babies), I argue that I qualify as a "middle child", however I am not sure why I would want to argue for the title except that perhaps I can use it as an excuse for some of my behavior over the past 50 years. No? It doesn't really work does it? It's amazing to me how we have been given example after example in the Bible about how God sees through all of our rationalizations for why we sin but we keep making them anyway, regardless of whether we should have learned better.  Read More >>
