At Ridge Point Community Church, we believe that every person was created to be in community with God and others. Because of sin, community has been severed. Regaining community with God requires that we accept the free gift of salvation: Forgiveness of our sins and empowerment in our everyday lives. When we, by faith, believe in Jesus and ask Him to forgive us and lead us in all we do, we regain the ability to live in community with those around us.
We are all designed to have an intimate relationship with God but are unable to achieve the holiness required to have it. That’s why God sent Jesus. His life and teachings provide an example of how we are to live, and when we place our faith in Him, his death and resurrection provide the spiritual empowerment to follow His example.
In order to become a member at Ridge Point, you have to attend a Participating Membership Class and prayerfully decide whether or not you want to be a part of Ridge Point’s goal of reaching out to the greater Holland/Zeeland Community. The class is designed to help you get an understanding of the mission God has called the Ridge Point community to as a church. By deciding to join, you are saying you want to take an active role in pursuing that mission. Unlike most places, membership is not mandatory. You can be involved – attend weekend services, serve, join a small group – without being a member of Ridge Point.
But if you want to go deeper, lead, fully understand what you are a part of - then Participating Membership is worth pursuing. For more information, email groups@ridgepoint.org or call 616.395.4126 x408.
Ridge Point's mission as a church is to be used by God to intentionally bring lost people to full life in Jesus Christ. That is why we focus on teaching and worshipping as a community in a way that is innovative and outreach oriented.
It is also why we believe so strongly that we must be involved in missions activities and small groups as a faith community because people who are engaged in reaching out to others and pursuing Christ together can change our communities and change the world.
Group Life
Community Groups are the heartbeat of Ridge Point. They are the core way we gather to learn more about Jesus and groups as a community. They also provide the "glue" that holds the church together. Through Groups, we stay connected in the midst of the incredible growth God is blessing us with at our weekend services. For more information, email groups@ridgepoint.org or call 616.395.4126 x408.
